Leader: George Mattar George Mattar in performance with the Finch Quartet in the church of St Mary the Virgin, East Barnet George studied with Jaroslav Vaněček at the Royal College of Music and with Thomas Brandis in Berlin. He enjoys a busy and varied musical life, leading amateur orchestras and playing as much chamber music as can be combined with a career in the financial sector. His violin was made in 1914 by Stefano Scarampella of Mantua.
